MAC vs. RIMMEL WAKE ME UP FOUNDATION

This is a follow on from yesterday's post
This week I have been trying Rimmel's Wake Me Up Foundation. If I am honest I found shopping on the highstreet for foundations a little bit of a stress. I am incredibly pale and when you go to a high end makeup counter they match your skin to a foundation for you, however in the highstreet/drugstores you are your own makeup specialist and it daunted me slightly! However I choose Ivory (100) for this particular foundation.
Rimmel claims that this foundation:instantly reawakens skin with a healthy, radiant glow." A pretty big claim eh? well actually... no. It really does make my skin awaken, the yellow undertones cover my dark circles and my skin instantly looks more refreshed. Being someone that doesn't sleep particularly well I thought this was pretty good for only £8.99!!
The foundation gives medium coverage which is perfect for me, and is also build-able. Although it is difficult to see through the bottle and it not totally visible on the skin, the foundation has a slight shimmer to it, I guess that would be the: "illuminating radiance pearls for a natural glow". It has a dewy finish, but not to be mistaken with greasy! However I maybe wouldn't recommend this one if you have naturally oily skin.

I really like the packaging, it is glass which is great for the price and unlike the MAC  foundation it comes fully equipped with a pump Hurrah! The orange lid is very bright- but only helps on the whole awakening effect! My only criticism of this is the colour range, although they went pale enough for myself they don't have a large selection of darker shades.

Overall I really loved this foundation and would probably re-purchase it. I give it a ... (Drum Roll Please)
